Here at Swiss Gold we strive to have the best quality dogs/puppies possible. We never breed for quantity, but quality, which is the number one thing to us. All Sire and Dams will have the best conformation, health, and most of all temperament. All will be heavily titled in conformation, rally, obedience, and have a therapy dog title. All Sire/Dams will have OFA Hips/Elbows,Cardiac, DM and CERF testing done prior to any breeding plans. Even our spayed/neutered dogs participate in events, such as obedience, dock diving, rally, and have therapy titles. We have no breeding plans for a long while but this site is where you can come and see all the success our dogs have had and continue to have! I do require that before you inquire about any breed, that you please do your homework and know about the breed you are inquiring about. Please know that puppies are not toys, they are a commitment. Berners have an average life span of 6-7 years, however, this is an average. Many live well into their teens. They do not do well in warm weather but thrive in the cold. They are extremely food driven and will never stop eating, so free feeding is not an option. Those are just a few things you should know before buying a Bernese.
